HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the nationally recognized first aid qualification in Australia. It's the most comprehensive first aid course available, covering emergency response from basic CPR to complex medical emergencies.

What HLTAID011 includes:

• HLTAID009 (CPR): Full cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification

Validity: Certificate valid for 3 years. CPR component must be renewed annually with HLTAID009 refresher training.

HLTAID011 training takes 4 hours face-to-face, typically running 9am-1pm at our Sippy Downs training centre.

Course structure:

• Pre-course online learning: 1-2 hours at home before attending (theory workbook and videos)
• Face-to-face training: 4 hours including theory, practical skills, and assessment
• Theory instruction: 60 minutes covering emergency response principles
• Practical training: 120 minutes hands-on practice with equipment
• Assessment: 60 minutes demonstrating skills and completing written test

Total time commitment: Approximately 5-6 hours (1-2 hours online + 4 hours face-to-face)

This is significantly faster than the old 8-hour format, thanks to pre-course online learning which allows more hands-on practice time during the face-to-face session.

HLTAID011 costs $110 at IRFA - the lowest price on the Sunshine Coast. Other providers charge $150-$185 for the same nationally recognized qualification.

Important note: HLTAID011 includes HLTAID009, so you receive both certificates. However, even though your HLTAID011 is valid for 3 years, you must complete annual HLTAID009 CPR refreshers each year to keep the CPR component current.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is valid for 3 years, but with an important condition:

Full certification validity: 3 years from date of issue

CPR component: Must be renewed annually (every 12 months)
