Yes. HLTAID011 includes and supersedes HLTAID009 (CPR). Upon completion you receive both qualifications. The CPR component must be renewed annually, while the broader HLTAID011 is valid for 3 years. If you only need CPR training in Roma, IRFA offers standalone HLTAID009 for $45.
Yes. HLTAID011 meets all requirements under the Queensland Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 for nominated workplace first aiders. Yes. HLTAID011 Provide First Aid replaced HLTAID003 Provide First Aid in 2021. It is the updated, more comprehensive version including improved CPR content aligned with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. If your certificate says HLTAID003, it has expired and you should renew to HLTAID011.
Under the WHS Regulation 2011, the number of first aiders depends on your workplace type, size and hazard level. As a general guide: low-risk workplaces need 1 first aider per 50 workers; high-risk workplaces need 1 per 25 workers.
