Partnership FAQs

IRFA offers competitive revenue sharing for independent trainer partnerships. Trainers typically receive 60-75% of course fees, with IRFA retaining 25-40% to cover RTO administration, certificate issuance, ASQA compliance, insurance coverage, and ongoing support services.

The specific percentage depends on factors including:

  • Course volume and consistency
  • Whether you provide your own equipment
  • Marketing and client acquisition responsibilities
  • Territory and scheduling considerations

Exact terms are discussed during the consultation process and formalized in your partnership agreement.

Equipment requirements vary by partnership model:

Independent Trainer Partners: You can provide your own equipment (CPR mannequins, AED trainers, first aid supplies) or arrange equipment rental through IRFA. Trainers with their own equipment typically receive a higher revenue share percentage.

Employed Trainers: All training equipment is provided by IRFA. You'll have access to high-quality Laerdal mannequins, training AEDs, and complete first aid demonstration kits.

Equipment Investment: For independent trainers purchasing equipment, expect initial investment of $3,000-$6,000 for a complete training set. IRFA can provide guidance on equipment suppliers and specifications that meet our quality standards.

IRFA has been primarily operating across Queensland, with established presence in:

  • Sunshine Coast: Primary operating region including Sippy Downs, Caloundra, Noosa
  • Brisbane: Metro and surrounding areas with growing demand
  • Gold Coast: Expanding presence in training delivery
  • Regional Queensland: Roma and other regional centers

We're currently exploring expansion into other states including New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and Western Australia through strategic partnerships. If you're located outside Queensland and interested in bringing IRFA's training excellence to your region, we'd welcome a conversation about expansion opportunities.

Earning potential varies significantly based on partnership model, course volume, and business development effort:

Employed Trainers: $65,000 - $85,000 annually for full-time positions, or $75-$150 per hour for casual delivery.

Independent Trainer Partners: Earnings depend on course volume and pricing. Examples:

  • 10 HLTAID011 courses/month at $120/course (trainer share) = $14,400/year
  • 15 courses/month = $21,600/year
  • 20 courses/month = $28,800/year (achievable with consistent marketing)

Experienced independent trainers delivering 15-20 sessions monthly typically earn $80,000-$100,000+ annually. Adding premium courses like HLTAID012 (childcare) significantly increases earning potential due to higher course fees and specialized demand.

Building to sustainable volume typically takes 3-6 months with dedicated client acquisition effort.

IRFA provides comprehensive ongoing support including:

Administrative Support:

  • Certificate processing and issuance within 24 hours
  • Student record management and ASQA reporting

The complete partnership process typically takes 4-8 weeks from initial contact to commencing training delivery:

Week 1-2: Initial consultation, application submission, and document review. We assess qualifications, conduct reference checks, and determine partnership fit.

Week 2-4: Interview and assessment process, including practical demonstration if required. Contract negotiation and partnership agreement finalization.

Week 4-6: Onboarding and training on IRFA systems, materials familiarization, quality standards review, and administrative processes.

Week 6-8: Shadow training (if required), final credentialing, and commencement of independent delivery.

Experienced trainers with complete documentation and relevant background can sometimes expedite this to 3-4 weeks. We prioritize thorough onboarding to ensure partner success and maintain IRFA's quality standards.
