Entry Requirements

Minimal prerequisites — designed for educators at all experience levels.

  • Minimum age 14 years (typically adults in education roles)
  • Ability to kneel and perform CPR on the floor
  • Good English language comprehension
  • No prior first aid or paediatric knowledge required
  • Physical capability to perform practical assessments

Certificate Renewal for Educators

HLTAID012 is valid for 3 years. The CPR component (HLTAID009) must be renewed annually. Many education services require annual renewal of the full HLTAID012. Check your employer's or regulator's specific requirements. Book CPR renewal HLTAID009 ($55) each year.
