What Sunshine Coast Residents Say
"As a surf patrol member at Maroochydore Beach, I need quality CPR training. IRFA's beach-specific scenarios were exactly what I needed. The morning session fits perfectly before my weekend patrols."
"Running a cafe near Mooloolaba Beach means we see everything from jellyfish stings to heat stroke. This CPR course covered real situations we actually face. Excellent local knowledge from the trainers."
"The evening session was perfect after work. As a teacher at Caloundra High, knowing beach-specific CPR is essential for our surf sports program. Great value at $55!"
CPR certification (HLTAID009) is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The Australian Resuscitation Council and Safe Work Australia recommend annual renewal to maintain current skills and knowledge of the latest techniques.
Yes, our HLTAID009 course meets all Surf Life Saving Australia requirements for bronze medallion, SRC qualifications, and annual skills maintenance. We include beach-specific scenarios and water rescue CPR techniques relevant to patrol duties.
Absolutely. We include CPR considerations for jellyfish stings, bluebottle encounters, stingray injuries, and other marine emergencies common to Sunshine Coast beaches. We also cover heat stroke, surf accidents, and rock fishing incidents.
We serve all Sunshine Coast areas from Caloundra to Noosa, including Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Kawana Waters, Buderim, Nambour, Coolum Beach, Peregian Beach, and all surrounding suburbs. Our central location ensures easy access from anywhere on the coast.
Both sessions cover identical HLTAID009 curriculum and provide the same certification. Morning sessions (9AM-11AM) suit beach workers and patrol volunteers, while evening sessions (5PM-7PM) are perfect for those working standard hours. Choose based on your schedule preference.
No prior experience is required. Our course is designed for complete beginners. You'll need to be able to kneel on the floor for practice sessions, but we can make accommodations for physical limitations. Please contact us if you have specific concerns.
Yes, pregnant participants can complete CPR training. You can observe and verbally describe CPR techniques rather than performing physical compressions on mannequins. You'll still receive full certification. Please inform your trainer at the start of class.
Bring a government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport) and wear comfortable clothing suitable for kneeling and movement. We provide all training materials, mannequins, and AED trainers. Consider bringing a water bottle and light snack.
Your nationally recognized HLTAID009 certificate is emailed digitally on the same day you complete training. A hard copy can be posted within 24 hours if requested. The certificate includes a unique verification code for employer checking.
Yes! We offer discounted rates for groups of 5 or more, with savings up to 30% for 20+ people. We can also provide on-site training at your workplace or surf club for groups of 8 or more. Contact us for a custom quote.

If you hold a current HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid) certificate, the CPR component needs annual renewal. Your full first aid certificate is valid for 3 years, but CPR must be updated every 12 months to remain compliant.
CPR requires hands-on practice with mannequins and cannot be completed entirely online. However, we offer blended learning where you complete theory online (1 hour) before attending a shorter practical session (1 hour) for assessment.
Our HLTAID009 certificate is nationally recognized and meets Safe Work Australia requirements for workplace first aiders. It's accepted by all Australian employers, schools, childcare centers, and sports organizations. Check with your employer if they need additional modules.
